California has three of the most photographed pizza spots in the US. Where are they?

California pizza lovers are in luck.
Yelp named the top 25 most photographed pizza spots in the U.S., and three places in the Golden State made the list.
They include two restaurants in San Diego — Buona Forchetta and CUCINA urbana — and Base Camp Pizza in South Lake Tahoe.
To find the most photographed pizza places, Yelp identified businesses in the pizza category and “ranked those spots based on how frequently users submit photos.”
All businesses had a passing health score as of Jan. 9.
Buona Forchetta — San Diego
Buona Forchetta is an Italian restaurant in the South Park neighborhood that’s known for having the “best gluten-free pizza in town” and ranked at No. 4, according to Yelp.
The robust menu includes salads and appetizers like fried pizza bites, focaccia and beet salad.
As for the pizza, there are options for many dietary preferences, like classic Neapolitan options, pizzas made with no sauce, fried pizza, vegan and vegetarian options.
Yelp reviewers have raved about the “Regina Margherita,” which is a spin on the classic Margherita pizza. This one is made with buffalo mozzarella, grape tomatoes, basil and Parmesan cheese.
“We got the Regina Margherita and it was simple, fresh and comforting. It’s so thin, fresh and yet so satisfying,” one Elite Yelp reviewer wrote.
CUCINA urbana — San Diego
Ranked at No. 8, Yelp reviewers have shared over 5,000 photos from CUCINA urbana.
The Italian restaurant is in San Diego’s Bankers Hill neighborhood, and the “elegant” space serves much more than pizza.
In fact, some of the most-reviewed menu items are appetizers, like the fried goat cheese squash blossom.
This dish is tempura fried and stuffed with goat cheese, pistou and orange blossom honey. Pistou is a cold French sauce made with basil, olive oil and garlic.
“Really crunchy and the goat cheese was delicious as well. Absolutely love the balance of the flavors here with that pistou and the orange blossom honey,” one Elite Yelp reviewer wrote.
As for pizza, Yelp reviewers raved about the Margherita pizza. It’s a simple and classic dish with tomato, mozzarella and basil.
“We also got a margherita pizza to share (5/5) and it was perfect with a Neapolitan crust & you could tell all the flavors were super fresh!” another person wrote.
Base Camp Pizza — South Lake Tahoe
Lastly, Base Camp Pizza in South Lake Tahoe ranked No. 9 and is known for its specialty pizzas. Yelp reviewers have raved about the Thai chicken curry pizza and the smoky barbecue chicken pizza with bacon.
