SuperLotto Plus player wins big in California. Where was the lucky ticket sold?
A SuperLotto Plus player in California won $30,871, just missing the $19 million jackpot, lottery officials say.
The ticket matched five winning numbers but not the mega number in the drawing Wednesday, June 25, the California Lottery said.
The lucky ticket was sold at a Quik Stop in Gilroy, which is about an 85-mile drive southeast from San Francisco, the lottery said.
Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $20 million, with a cash value of about $9 million, for the next drawing Saturday, June 28.
The winning numbers were 12, 13, 23, 39 and 42, with a mega number of 24, the site said.
Nearly 85,000 other SuperLotto tickets sold in California also won prizes ranging from $1 to $1,200, the lottery said.
