Mansion on a dock literally stands on the CA ocean. It’s going up for auction

An estate that literally stands out from its beige neighbors is about ready to grace the auction block in Coronado, California.

Almost acting like its own dock — or pier — on the water, the mansion, referred to as “3 The Point,” is listed for $37.5 million, but starting bids are expected to be between $15 million and $23 million when bidding opens Sept. 5.

“The Point creates an extraordinary sanctuary where contemporary sophistication meets the timeless allure of waterfront living on San Diego Bay. This architectural masterpiece transforms daily life into a celebration of coastal luxury, where floor-to-ceiling windows dissolve boundaries between interior elegance and the ever-changing canvas of bay and sky,” the listing on Concierge Auctions describes.

Inside is a wealth of features and power in the form of style. It appears to be an open floor plan as the kitchen peers over the crystal blue water of the bay. Other rooms offer comfort paired with modernism and bone-chilling views.

But the best view in the house comes from the top.

“The crown jewel rooftop deck becomes a private resort suspended above the water, offering endless entertaining possibilities amid panoramic vistas,” the listing says.
