Player hits ‘incredible’ jackpot on 10-cent slot machine at Sacramento casino

A gambler at Thunder Valley Casino Resort near Sacramento hit a $381,009 jackpot on a 10-cent slot machine Saturday, casino officials reported.

The player won a progressive jackpot on an $8.80 bet on a “Dancing Drums” slot machine, the casino said.

“One of the things that makes jackpots so exciting is imagining what that moment means for the guest,” said Dawn Clayton, general manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort. “A win like this can create memories that last a lifetime, and it brings incredible energy and excitement to the entire casino.”

Also at Thunder Valley Casino Resort, a Face Up Pai Gow poker player won a progressive jackpot of $134,829 with a hand of five aces, the casino said.

“Seeing a guest win over $134,829 on a single hand is incredibly exciting, not only for the guest but for everyone at the casino,” Clayton said.

The casino has paid out more than 251,000 jackpots in the past year.

Thunder Valley Casino Resort at 1200 Athens Ave. in Lincoln has 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games. It is about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento.
