Player wins five-figure Powerball prize in California. Where was lucky ticket sold?

A Powerball ticket sold in California fell just one number short of winning the $346 million jackpot, lottery officials said.

Instead, the lucky ticket won $71,708.

The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, June 27, the California State Lottery said.

California adjusts lottery prizes based on the number of tickets sold and number of winners.

Where was winning Powerball ticket sold in California?

The lucky ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven store at 690 N. Lake Ave. in Pasadena, lottery officials said.

What were winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing?

The winning numbers were 3, 15, 28, 30 and 59 with a Powerball of 11.

The Power Play multiplier was 2x.

Players in Arizona and Tennessee won $2 million each.

What is the Powerball jackpot up to now?

Nobody won the jackpot, which now rises to an estimated $360 million, with a cash value of about $163.8 million, for the next drawing Wednesday, July 1, the national Powerball site said.

More than 660,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said. There were nearly 80,000 winners in California.

The Powerball jackpot was last won May 2, when players from Florida and Texas hit the $20 million jackpot.

How to play Powerball lottery game

To score a jackpot in Powerball, a player must match all five white balls and the red Powerball.

The odds of scoring the jackpot prize are 1 in 292,201,338.

Tickets can be bought on the day of the drawing, but sales times and price vary by state.

When is the next Powerball drawing?

Powerball drawings are broadcast Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time and can be streamed online.

The next drawing will be Wednesday, July 1.
