Firefighters making progress on Quail Fire in Vacaville; evacuations reduced to warnings

A growing vegetation fire Saturday in northern Solano County near Vacaville has prompted some evacuation orders in the region, according to authorities.

The Quail Fire, which was first reported at 3:14 p.m., and as of 7:15 p.m. had burned 135 acres and was 45% contained, according to Cal Fire.

The Solano County Office of Emergency Services issued evacuation orders for all of Quail Canyon Road and Pleasants Valley Road from Quail Canyon north to Highway 128 and west to the county border. Around 8:30 p.m., Solano OES reduced those orders to warnings.

Evacuation warnings also are in effect for residents on Pleasants Valley Road from Shale Peak Road north to Highway 128 and west of Pleasants Valley Road to the county line.

There have been no immediate reports of serious injury or property damage.
