Burrows Fire burning near Elk Creek in Glenn County grows to 300+ acres

A wildfire burning Tuesday near Burrows Gap in Glenn County has topped 300 acres by forward progress has been stopped, firefighters said.

The Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn unit said in social media posts that the Burrows Fire started around 11:30 a.m. at County Roads 306 and 315 in the Elk Creek area.

Cal Fire reported on social media that the forward spread of the fire had been stopped by around 1:45 p.m.,

Around 3:30 p.m., Cal Fire said the blaze was 65% contained.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, according to an update from Cal Fire.

Cal Fire has not reported any injuries or structures threatened by the blaze.
