Two firefighters sustain minor injuries in Fair Oaks apartment fire (with video)
Two firefighters sustained minor injuries battling a Sunday night fire in a Fair Oaks apartment complex, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
Officials said the two-alarm blaze broke out around 10 p.m. in the two-story complex at 10741 Fair Oaks Blvd.
Firefighting units at the scene included six trucks and one air unit. Damage to 12 apartments was estimated at $400,000, but there were no injuries to residents.
The Red Cross was assisting residents displaced by the fire.
The fire was caused by an unattended barbecue, fire district officials reported Monday afternoon.
