Here are the top news updates for Monday, March 23:

Sacramento County reported a spike of new coronavirus cases on Monday. There are now 88 confirmed cases of the potentially deadly virus in the county. Four people have died.

Meanwhile, public health officials say there are not enough COVID-19 tests to adequately assess how many people have been infected. More tests are on the way at drive-through facilities.

And on Tuesday, the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors will consider a temporary ban on evictions caused by economic hardships linked to the coronavirus outbreak.
