California Gov. Gavin Newsom delivered an update on the coronavirus emergency at a press conference on Wednesday. He talked about the state’s wildfire preparedness. Watch a recording of the livestream of the event by clicking on the video below:

On Tuesday, Newsom announced that office employees were allowed to return to work, with modifications, though the governor said the preference is that office workers continue to work remotely if that is possible.

The governor also announced that Butte and El Dorado counties have obtained a variance from the state, and will be allowed to proceed further into the Phase 2 of reopening, including opening restaurants for dine-in services.
