The Sacramento jobs with the most openings by 2022

The State Employment Development Department predicts that the Sacramento region will add about 170,000 new jobs by 2022. Another 210,000 replacement openings will be created by retirement and migration.

Here's the career paths that will get the biggest boost, broken down by education level, according to the projections, which were released this week.

Important note: Even with these big numbers, supply could still exceed demand. The number of people hoping to be cashiers or lawyers could still exceed the number of job openings in those fields.
