Friday 2/18

Irie Nights

What: Sounds of Afrobeats, Reggae, Dancehall, Ampiano, HipHop and R&B

Who: Featuring music by OMG Prince, Slowlikewhoa, and Chukkpasta

Where: District 30, 1022 K St.

When: 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Tiger

What: Love Friday’s featuring R&B music all night long

Who: Live music from The Band Hayez and Jamal Tru

Where: 722 K St.

When: 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Saturday 2/19

Greenbook Exhibit Tour

What: Journey through stories of African American community, business innovation and creative self-determination in “The Negro Motorist Green Book” exhibit on display through Feb. 27.

Who: California Museum

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday 2/20

Solidarity Walk to Celebrate Black History Month

What: This is a networking opportunity and solidarity event encouraging and uplifting Black people to come together in Sacramento.

Who: open to all individuals

Where: Streets Pub and Grub, 1804 J St.

When: 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Urban Couture Fashion Show

What: Celebrating Black History Month, The Pop-Up Shop coordinated with the Arden Fair leasing department to host an annual fashion show.

Who: The Pop-Up Shop at Arden Fair

Where: 1689 Arden Way

When: Starting at 3 p.m.

Style and Twisted Loc Convention

What: A convention to show a love and appreciation for dreadlocks, or “locs”, a traditional African-heritage hairstyle. There will be stylist throughout the city to network with, as well as information sessions on how to tend to your locs. There will be refreshments and entertainment, such as music, comedy, poetry, and more.

‘Celebrating Black History Month’ Sip & Paint

What: A virtual sip and paint event for creatives produce masterpieces while enjoying the virtual company of others during Black History Month.
