A Sacramento comic book creator is branching out with a second retail store. Here’s where
A new comic store is celebrating its grand opening this Friday at Arden Fair Mall, as the shopping center continues to diversify in its retail options.
Sacramento native and creator of Impound Comics, Brent Trayce Sands is opening his second comic store called Anti-Hero, located in the former Raider Image store on the upper level, next to Lids.
Anti-Hero, a comic book retail store, will offer a range of different comics and related merchandise.
Sands told The Sacramento Bee that he plans to carry other comic series created by up-and-coming creators and artists to help elevate their brands.
His original Impound Comic Store, located in DOCO, will continue to primarily carry the Impound series and will act as a ‘home base’ for Impound Comics.
“Arden Fair strives to find tenants who help expand the diversity of our retail mix. Comics and comic-related merchandise are growing categories and we are excited to provide Sacramento with a location that carries these popular products,” said Arden Fair Marketing Director, Nathan Spradlin.
Spradlin said that the partnership between Sands and Arden Fair helps them continually address the community requests to elevate local businesses and entrepreneurs with a space in the mall.
The comic store will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
