Blood drive in West Sacramento

West Sacramento hosts a blood drive at City Hall, 1110 W. Capitol Ave., from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 916-617-4528. Donors are asked to bring a photo ID and drink plenty of fluids before arriving. Call 866-822-5663 for eligibility questions.

City Hall closed for staff event

Citrus Heights City Hall will be closed from noon to 1:30 p.m. on for an all-staff event, the city reports.

▪ Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey begins a seven-performance stint Thursday at Sleep Train Arena. “Out of This World” is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday. Go to www.ringling.com/out-of-this-world for more information.

▪ The fundraiser St. Baldrick’s Brave to Shave takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Yolo Brewing Company, 1520 Terminal St., West Sacramento. Attendees can have their heads shaved while raising funds to fight childhood cancer. The Beckman Coulter Foundation and the Yolo Brewing Company are sponsoring the event. There will also be music and a food truck.
