Good morning. Here’s what you need to know today:
That 70s weather continues: The weather in Sacramento today will remain warm, high temperatures shouldn’t set records. Today, the high temperature is expected to hit 74 degrees, just below the record of 76 in 1977.
More people, enough water?: California’s present course on water conservation may not keep up with population growth, according to a Sacramento Bee analysis of state data. The present state mandate for a 20 percent savings by 2020 will be eclipsed a decade later, resulting in a 16 percent overall increase in water consumption.
Growing aspirations: Eric Guerra grew up picking figs and peaches in Yolo County. Now he’s running for a seat on the Sacramento City Council, writes Bee columnist Marcos Breton.

Dillashaw will make his debut as a model at the designer showcase that caps seven days of high-style events. “I have to do a longer walk than that when I go to the octagon, and that’s in front of thousands and thousands of people,” says Dillashaw, who plans to strut his stuff in a slightly shiny blue sharkskin three-piece suit custom-made by local designer R. Douglas. “I think it will be fun.”
