‘Meet a Farmer’ in West Sacramento

The Center for Land-Based Learning hosts “Meet a Farmer” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Yolo Brewing Co., 1520 Terminal St., West Sacramento. Attendees can meet those who farm in and around West Sacramento at the free event. In partnership with Yolo Brewing, the center has created an aggregation facility where local farmers can bring their harvests to be distributed back out to the community as weekly produce.

B-29 on display at Mather

Visitors can view the Boeing B-29 Superfortress Fifi from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Sacramento Mather Airport, 10510 Superfortress Ave., Mather. Go to www.AirPowerTour.org for more information.

▪ The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, led by Wynton Marsalis, performs at 8 p.m. at Jackson Hall in Mondavi Center, 501 Alumni Lane, Davis. Go to www.mondaviarts.org for more information. The Rio Americano High School band is scheduled to open the performance.

▪ The Landscape Expo Northern California begins a two-day run Wednesday at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento. Featured will be indoor exhibits, outdoor demonstration areas, a new product showcase section and water conservation showcase. Event times are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
