Elk Grove council to meet

The Elk Grove City Council meets at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, 8400 Laguna Palms Way. Among the topics to be discussed is an ordinance amending the development agreement and adoption of a resolution amending the mall agreement with Elk Grove Town Center LP for the Outlet Collection at 10465 Promenade Parkway. Cops and coffee event scheduled

The Sacramento Police Department hosts a Cops and Coffee event at 6 p.m. at Maestro Coffeehouse, 2069 Arena Blvd., No. 130, in North Natomas. Residents can ask questions, voice concerns and opportunity to meet neighborhood officers.

Open garden in Fair Oaks

An October Open Garden event allows visitors to see how cool-season vegetables are growing, get tips of succession planting, learn how to protect citrus from frost and more.
