Sacramento police said Tuesday they have arrested a suspect in a string of armed robberies in the Pocket neighborhood late last month.
No additional information about the suspect, including his name, would be made public because the investigation is continuing, police said in a news release.
“While the investigation into this event is still ongoing, our detectives believe that this individual is responsible for a number of recent robberies that have occurred in the area,” the news release said..
Between Sept. 25 and Sept. 28, six robberies near a shopping center at Florin Road and Greenhaven Drive were reported to police. The robberies involved a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun, and occurred between 8:50 p.m. and 5:15 a.m., police said.

Another robbery was reported Oct. 3 about 2 miles away in the 7600 block of Greenhaven Drive, near a different shopping center.
Police said they found a man who matched the suspect description in that robbery and later found evidence that linked him to the crime.
Police said they believe the man could be involved in additional robberies in the area.
