Police chief to be sworn in
Elk Grove hosts a swearing-in ceremony for Police Chief Bryan Noblett at 3 p.m. in City Hall Chambers, 8400 Laguna Palms Way. Noblett, the city’s third police chief, takes over the post vacated by Chief Robert Lehner, who retired this month.
Davis police strategic plan discussed
The Davis Human Rights Commission and Darren Pytel, the city’s police chief, will discuss the Police Department’s three-year strategic plan at a meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room, 23 Russell Blvd. Traffic, crime reduction and community engagement will also be discussed.
