Poll: Do Sacramento hip-hop events need more security?

Despite a February shooting outside a hip-hop show at Sacramento’s Ace of Spades concert venue, other followers of the music form say hip-hop should not be viewed in a negative light. “Hip-hop is supposed to represent the struggle you come from,” said Andru Defeye, organizer of Most Open Mic in the City. “It’s not supposed to be about the violence.”
