Council to meet in Citrus Heights

Santa, sirens at parade

The Cosumnes Community Services District Fire Department and Firefighters Association host a Santa and Sirens parade beginning at 7 p.m. at Station 75, 2300 Maritime Drive, Elk Grove. New, unwrapped toys for the department’s toy drive will be accepted.

Meet officers at coffee event

Officers from the California Highway Patrol’s Woodland office, Davis Police Department and community members will gather for a “coffee with a cop” event at 10 a.m. at Common Grounds Coffee, 2171 Cowell Blvd., Davis. Community issues will be discussed at the informal event, in which community members can ask questions, discuss concerns and get to know officers.

▪ SantaCon is a bar crawl for those 21 and older that begins at 8 p.m. in Old Sacramento. Participants are invited to wear their best holiday costumes, sweaters or dress as Santa Claus.
