Holiday home tour in Folsom

The fifth annual 2016 Historic Folsom Holiday Home Tour features nine sites adorned for the holidays, including one home featured as the Decorators Showcase. The tour celebrates architectural styles ranging from the post-Gold Rush of the 1860s to the 1920s and other dwellings and structures. Nativity festival runs through Sunday

The 10th annual Elk Grove Nativity Festival features multicultural crèche displays, children’s activities, live Nativity performances, musical performances and a family holiday portrait studio. The festival runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6711 Seasons Drive, Elk Grove. Firefighters, Santa team up

The West Sacramento Fire Department leads the annual Santa Run through West Sacramento. With the help of many off-duty firefighter “elves,” Santa will ride on a decorated firetruck “sleigh” and hand out candy canes donated by the West Sacramento Firefighters’ Association. Helpers will follow Santa to collect canned food donations for those in need. Friday’s run begins at 5 p.m. in the northeast Southport area.
