Elk Grove mayor to be sworn in

Steve Ly will be installed as Elk Grove’s mayor during the City Council meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, 8400 Laguna Palms Way. Ly, the nation’s first Hmong mayor, was first elected to the City Council in 2014 and served as vice mayor before winning the mayor’s post during the November election. West Sacramento council meets

Air advice for truck drivers

California Air Resource Board officials will host an event to provide advice and information on how truck drivers and fleet owners must comply with California’s clean-air requirements from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Universal Technical Institute, 4100 Duckhorn Drive, Sacramento.
