Home-garden event this weekend

▪ The 37th annual Auction and Wine Tasting Benefit is planned from 5 to 10 p.m. at the UC Davis School of Medicine, 4610 X St., Sacramento. The Gatsby-themed gala features silent and live auction items, live music, games, food and wine. Participants are invited to dress up in 1920s glamour garb. ▪ Cats and kittens of various breeds compete for top honors this weekend at the Jazzy Cats International Cat Show at the McClellan Conference Center, 5411 Luce Ave., Sacramento. Both purebreds and non-purebred (household pet category) will compete. Event times are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
