‘Very Warm’ weekend ahead for Sacramento

Unseasonably warm temperatures will mark the weekend in Sacramento.

Downtown is expected to hit 75 degrees Saturday and 74 degrees on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

“Warm, very warm,” said weather service forecaster Tom Dang, describing the weekend weather. “There’s a pretty strong high pressure ridge building over California.”

He added that temperatures are about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

But Sacramento won’t be breaking any records this weekend. Dang said the record highs are in the 80-degree range dating back to the 1950s.
