Return to above normal temperatures in Sacramento

Sunny conditions forecast for Thursday should dry any puddles left by the mini-rainstorm that made a quick visit to the Sacramento region.

The final Sacramento rainfall total for the brief rain event on Wednesday was 0.16 inches of precipitation. Rainfall total for the season stands at 11.73 inches, which is 73 percent of normal for the date.

The sunny and warm conditions forecast for Thursday are due to a rebuilding high pressure ridge. A high of 76 degrees is forecast for Sacramento, which is 10 degrees above normal for March 12.

The weekend looks pleasant with Saturday being the warmest day. Temperatures close to 80 degrees are forecast for the Sacramento region on Saturday.
