Big Powerball win registered in South Lake Tahoe

Somebody purchased a Powerball ticket in South Lake Tahoe worth $708,769.

The purchaser matched five out of six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing, missing only the Powerball number 27. The winner matched 24, 44, 31,11 and 40.

The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven market, 3923 Pioneer Trail. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize.

Powerball is played in 44 states. Draw times are Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets are $2.
