In recognition of Women’s History Month, the California State Library is hosting “The Important Role of Women in Civic Engagement” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Stanley Mosk Library and Courts Building, 914 Capitol Mall, Sacramento. Rachel Michelin, chief executive officer of California Women Lead, will be the event presenter. California Women Lead is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization designed to empower women to seek leadership positions. Attendees must RSVP online for this free event. Roseville council to meet

Seeking to prevent teen dating violence
Stand Up Placer presents “Teen Dating Violence Awareness 101 for Parents” at 6:30 p.m. at Oakmont High School, 1710 Cirby Way, Roseville. The event will discuss preventing teen dating violence and preparing youths for a lifetime of healthy relationships.
Salute to Kondos in Davis
A Gregory Kondos’ 94th Birthday and Exhibition begins a month-long run Wednesday at the John Natsoulas Center for the Arts, 521 First St., Davis. The free exhibition will feature many new drawings and paintings, as well as earlier works.
