50 years of bike lanes celebrated

Davis is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the city’s first bicycle lanes from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame in Central Park, 303 Third St. The public is invited to the free event and reception. Fundraiser for CSUS athletics

The 10th annual Wine and Food Classic, a fundraiser for Sacramento State athletics, features samples from 20 local brewers, caterers and vintners along with a silent auction and prize drawings. Community fest in Rocklin

The city of Rocklin plans Community Appreciation Day and a movie at Quarry Park, 4000 Rocklin Road. An open house featuring food trucks, crafts and lawn games is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees can meet officials from each city department.
