Cosumnes CSD names new general manager

Maureen Zamarripa, the Cosumnes Community Services District’s parks and recreation administrator, has been selected to lead the district as general manager.

The Cosumnes Community Services District serves approximately 191,000 south Sacramento County residents. It operates 94 parks in Elk Grove, and provides fire protection and emergency medical services for the cities of Elk Grove and Galt and unincorporated areas of south Sacramento County.

Zamarripa’s appointment was announced Monday and is part of a process initiated last fall to replace three district leaders who are retiring this year: General Manger Jeff Ramos, Fire Chief Tracey Hansen and Parks and Recreation Administrator Bob Roessler.

Zamarripa, who served as the district’s deputy general manager in 2007-08, was hired in March to succeed Roessler. She will assume the general manager’s post, replacing Ramos, Nov. 10.
