Small groups welcome at museum
Homeschool Day offers small groups the opportunity to experience the California Museum’s K-12 educational programs while taking advantage of discounted admission normally only available for groups of 30 or more students. Groups of two persons or more are invited to book a self-guided tour at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. or noon for $3.50 per person. Jazz quintet to perform
Sacramento native Mel Martin performs with his quintet at the CLARA studios, 2420 N St., Sacramento, starting at 7 p.m. Martin plays sax and flute and is described as one of the most innovative jazz musicians to emerge from the San Francisco Bay Area. The show coincides with Martin’s 75th birthday. Admission is $25.
River Cats tangle with Grizzlies
The Sacramento River Cats host the Fresno Grizzlies at 7:05 p.m. at Raley Field.
