Flames from Roseville propane tank? It’s planned, not an emergency

An alert for those living in or driving by Roseville on Wednesday morning: Beginning at 8:30 a.m., Placer Propane, at 3971 Douglas Blvd., will be flaring off their 10,000-gallon propane tank onsite, according to the city’s Fire Department.

Fire officials say it will take two to three hours to burn and that motorists driving by may see flames from the tank. The flaring off is part of the process to ensure the safety of the tank, according to the Fire Department.
