Good morning. Here’s what you need to know today:

Warm and windy: Temperatures will dip a bit today in Sacramento, but will stay warm with a high forecast to reach 81 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The record for the day in Sacramento is 84 degrees, set in 1986. Winds of 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph, are also forecast.

Accused killer in court: Luis Bracamontes, the 34-year-old accused killer of two deputies, joked and smiled during a hearing Friday in Sacramento Superior Court. He faces the death penalty. Attorneys say such actions will not help him.

Murder-suicide suspected: The gruesome discovery of two bodies early Friday in a west Davis home is being investigated as a murder-suicide. Lt. Thomas Waltz of the Davis Police Department said authorities are not searching for suspects.

Lions roar: The McClatchy High School girls’ basketball team claimed CIF State Division I title Friday night in Berkeley with a thrilling 65-61 double-overtime win over Serra-Gardena.

Chávez march: Labor groups, community organizations and the general public will celebrate César Chávez’s birthday during the 15th annual César Chávez March in Sacramento, which will start at 10 a.m. today at Southside Park, Eighth and T streets.

Chrome back on track: California Chrome, the locally-owned 4-year-old thoroughbred, will race today in the $10 million Dubai World Cup. The race will be shown live at 10 a.m. on Fox Sports 1 and TVG networks. Cal Expo will also simulcast the race live.
