There were over 500 entries in The Sacramento Bee’s 2017 Thanksgiving turkey poster decorating contest. The winning families received cash prizes for their entries, which also appeared in the newspaper on Dec. 6. Thanks to everyone who entered!

The Morris family’s creation of “The Amazing Spider-Turkey” claimed the top prize in The Sacramento Bee’s Thanksgiving Turkey Poster Decorating contest.

More than 500 entries were submitted and judges selected the top 25. They then decided on the top three, plus two honorable mentions.

The Morris family of Sacramento won $100 for their submission. The Berryman family of West Sacramento won $75 for its second-place entry and the Massaro family of Elk Grove won $50 for its third-place submission. Honorable mention prizes of $25 each were awarded to the Purtill family of Roseville and the Bingham family of Elk Grove.
