Good morning. Here’s what you need to know today, Saturday, April 9:

Warm weekend: Temperatures should warm up quickly this weekend for outdoor activities in the Sacramento area. Daytime highs both days are forecast to be in the low 80s as Sacramento enjoys temperatures that are several degrees above normal for early May.

Happy birthday: The Delta town of Locke celebrates its 100th birthday today as the oldest remaining Chinese village in North America. The tiny hamlet will host a daylong celebration that will include music, dancing and film.

Day 2 for women racers: Heavenly Mountain Resort again hosts the start and finish for Stage 2 of the Amgen Tour of California for women. The 25-mile circuit will be tackled twice through area forests in the Lake Tahoe Area. The men’s and women’s events converge Sunday in Sacramento. That’s when the first stage of the men’s race begins at the Capitol (it also will finish there 126.2 miles later) and Stage 3 of the women’s race is contested on a 2-mile circuit around the Capitol following the men’s departure.

Komen participants at Cal Expo: Race for the Cure, a 10K/5K run and 1K walk, will take place this morning at Cal Expo. Sponsored by Susan G. Komen for the Cure – Sacramento Valley, the event will begin at 7 a.m. with the 10K run, 8:40 a.m. for the 5K run and 9:15 a.m. for the 1K walk.

Have a favorite berry?: Berries of all varieties will be available at the seventh annual Berry Fest this weekend at the Placer County Fairgrounds and Event Center, 800 All America City Blvd. in Roseville. The event, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Sunday, celebrates the strawberry harvest and will feature food, contests and entertainment.

Francis House fundraiser: Benefiting Francis House of Sacramento, the 24th annual Feast in the Streets fundraiser will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. today at 1422 C St. Food tasting from food trucks and restaurants will be available.

Attention, Donner Lake boaters: Mandatory watercraft inspections will begin at Donner Lake’s public boat launch today. The inspections, aimed at preventing the introduction of aquatic invasive species into the lake, will take place Saturdays and Sundays until June 1, after which they will be conducted daily.

Back at Bonney Field: Sacramento Republic FC faces a huge test tonight, when it hosts the Western Conference-leading Seattle Sounders FC 2. The match begins at 7:30 p.m. at Bonney Field.
