Sacramento police are seeking information about a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian, then left the scene Monday night.
Officers were called to the area of 65th Street and Broadway about 10:03 p.m. regarding a hit-and-run collision with an injured pedestrian. A man was found in the roadway unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead by Sacramento Fire Department personnel, according to a Police Department news release.
The man's name has not been released pending notification of family.
Preliminary information indicates that the pedestrian was on the west side of 65th Street, at or near the Broadway intersection, according to the news release. The vehicle was traveling south on 65th when it struck the pedestrian, then left the scene.

Officers and traffic collision investigators canvassed the area for witnesses and evidence.
