Arden Fair is site of pre-Memorial Day salute
A pre-Memorial Day ceremony will honor the nation’s military past and present Friday at Arden Fair.
The ceremony will take place at the flagpole outside the mall’s main entrance from 11 a.m. to noon. The public is invited to the event put on by The Honor Group, whose motto is “Educate, empower, equip.”
Marine Capt. Edward Kay, a combat veteran, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker. A representative will speak from American Gold Star Mothers, an organization of mothers who have lost sons or daughters in the military.
An honor guard will be present, and a special salute will honor military members killed in action.
