Roseville police looking for man after 12-year-old reports kidnapping attempt
Roseville police are investigating the attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old boy Friday afternoon.
About 4:15 p.m., a 12-year-old boy was waiting for his mother to pick him up after his school bus dropped him off near Sharp Circle and Breuner Drive, according to a news release from the Roseville Police Department.
A car drove past the boy then circled back around, police said, before man in the car asked if the boy if he wanted a ride home.
After the boy said no, the man in the car became “very aggressive” and demanded the boy “get in the car,” according to the release.
The boy ran away as the car drove out of the looped streets and onto Harding Boulevard, police said.
Police describe car as bright lime green 4-door sedan with a dark interior and rips on the seat. The car’s rear windows were tinted black, and there was noticeable oxidation on the hood of the car, the release stated.
The suspect is described as a white male adult in his mid-30s with a brown beard with some gray and brown eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie and “appeared dirty,” as if he was coming from work, according to the release.
Roseville Police Department is asking anyone with information on the suspect, the vehicle or this incident to please call at 916-774-5000, option 1, to report a crime.
