The cyclist killed in a south Sacramento traffic collision Tuesday has been identified
The cyclist killed in a traffic collision Tuesday night in south Sacramento has been identified as Tab Sinatra Jones, according to Sacramento County coroner records.
Jones, 61, suffered major injuries after colliding with a car around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday on Elder Creek Road between Stockton Boulevard and 63rd Street, according to Sacramento Police Department spokesman Sgt. Vance Chandler.
Fire personnel took Jones to a local hospital, where he died, Chandler said.
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries. Detectives do not believe impaired driving was a factor in the crash, Chandler said Tuesday.
