Power outage affects about 2,500 customers in Elk Grove
SMUD is currently working to restore power to an estimated 2,500 customers who experienced a power outrage, according to Chris Capra, a spokesman for SMUD.
The incident is caused by an underground cable problem on Big Horn Boulevard near Meadowspring Drive in Elk Grove, Capra said.
