Folsom man identified as victim killed in Christmas Eve crash on Sunrise Boulevard

The coroner’s office has identified a 48-year-old man killed in a Christmas Eve collision at a Rancho Cordova intersection.

Ryan Senior of Folsom died following a crash on Sunrise Boulevard at Fitzgerald Road shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

A man in a vehicle that was T-boned in the intersection was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and two other patients were treated for minor injuries, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District spokesman Capt. Chris Vestal said Thursday.

Southbound Sunrise Boulevard was closed at International Drive for a few hours early Tuesday as police and fire personnel remained at the scene, the Rancho Cordova Police Department said Tuesday in tweets.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning, according to Sgt. Tess Deterding, spokeswoman for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and Rancho Cordova Police Department.
