Missing 65-year-old West Sacramento man with dementia located, police say

The West Sacramento Police Department said Thursday it has located a missing 65-year-old man with dementia.

Police say the man, described as 5-foot-8, weighing 220 pounds and last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants and black shoes, was last seen around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The California Highway Patrol has issued a silver alert for the man’s silver 2006 Buick Lucerne, that was last seen via camera in the San Pablo area. CHP’s silver alert was issued overnight for Sacramento, Yolo, San Joaquin, Solano, Contra Costa and Alameda counties.

Authorities believe the man may not have taken his medication, the West Sacramento Police Department previously said in a news release.
