Sacramento Fire Department fights 2-alarm fire that burns 2 structures in Freeport area

The Sacramento Fire Department is battling a two-alarm fire burning in the Freeport area Friday.

Units were dispatched shortly after 11:45 a.m. to a structure fire near Cosumnes River and Freeport boulevards, the Fire Department tweeted just before 12:15 p.m.

One outbuilding and one main building are involved in the fire, for which a second alarm was requested, the tweet said.

No other details were immediately available, including whether the buildings were residential or commercial.
