Elderly woman killed in Sacramento mobile home fire. Incident under investigation

A woman was found dead after a fire at a mobile home park in south Sacramento, fire officials said Monday.

Crews responded around 11:30 p.m. Sunday to a structure fire at the Travelodge mobile home park in the 6000 block of Dias Avenue, the Sacramento Fire Department said in a tweet.

An “elderly female was discovered deceased in the structure” as firefighters extinguished the flames overnight, the Fire Department tweeted.

The incident remains under investigation, and no other details were immediately released.

Identification of the deceased will be handled by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family.
