Rocklin adventure park reopens Friday, with new safety protocols for coronavirus

As California heads into Phase 3 of its reopening, outdoor recreational sites have the green light to welcome customers beginning Friday.

Rocklin’s Quarry Park Adventures has announced its plan to reopen Friday, along with a slew of new protocols to comply with social distancing guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The park’s eight adventure zones feature attractions like zip lines, free fall jumps, and paddle boat rides — all repurposing what used to be one of California’s largest quarries. The entire park will be open, but “operated at a limited capacity,” said a Wednesday news release. Advanced reservations, booked only with members of the same household, are highly recommended.

In addition to reservations, guests will have their temperature taken upon arrival and will answer a set of health-related questions. They’ll also be provided with a new pair of “adventure gloves,” as well as expected to maintain a 6-foot distance from other people and wear a mask in common areas.

For its part, the staff will be equipped with proper protective gear and will extensively and regularly clean the park, including guests’ safety equipment between each use.
