One injured as 2-alarm fire hits ‘multiple’ homes in Sacramento’s Meadowview neighborhood

Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in Sacramento’s Meadowview neighborhood Thursday morning that sent one person to the hospital.

Authorities responded to the 7500 block of 21st Street for a structure fire, then called in a second alarm “due to the large amount of fire with multiple other structures being impacted,” the Sacramento Fire Department tweeted just before 6 a.m. The fire burned in a residential area.

By 6:30 a.m., the Fire Department said one person required transportation to a local hospital, but the fire had been “mostly knocked down.”

No other injuries were reported, the Fire Department said.
