Man shot and killed in Del Paso Heights neighborhood identified by coroner

The man killed in a Del Paso Heights shooting in mid-June has been identified, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Herman Alexander Littleton, 60, was shot on the 3700 block of Cypress Avenue just after midnight on June 16, just outside the Gran Casa Linda public housing complex. Sacramento Police Department officers were called to the North Sacramento scene, a few yards from the Del Paso Heights Library, after shots were heard by neighbors, the agency said in a news release.

Officers found Littleton with a life-threatening wound and transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.
