A crash involving numerous vehicles is stalling traffic Monday morning on Highway 50 along the W-X corridor, according to Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol.

The pile-up happened just before 5:50 a.m. on westbound Highway 50 just east of Interstate 5 and involved at least four vehicles, according to the CHP incident log.

A Toyota pickup truck crashed into the center divider, then struck multiple other vehicles before overturning onto its roof, the incident log said.

As of 6:15 a.m., the left lane and two right lanes of traffic were blocked, but all lanes were back open shortly after 7 a.m., Caltrans said in tweets.

No details about injuries were immediately available, but fire and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene.

Caltrans traffic cameras showed traffic on westbound Highway 50 backed up to the interchange with Highway 99 and the Capital City Freeway as of 6:20 a.m.
