The family of a 66-year-old San Ramon man who went missing last month near an El Dorado County reservoir is offering a $10,000 reward.

Saeed Emadi disappeared on July 8 after separating from his friends, who had come along for a day hike along Ice House Reservoir.

Emadi crossed Silver Creek near Strawberry Point and was unable to return. As he continued to walk on, attempting to find a road, he became lost.

His friends called the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office to report him missing after contact with Emadi broke off.

Since then, numerous search parties have been sent out by the Sheriff’s Office. Footprints matching Emadi’s shoes indicated that he had been in the area of Granite Springs Road.

Emadi’s three daughters — Zhila, Lena and Roya — have been out to the reservoir looking for their father, along with several volunteers. Now, the family is offering a reward of $10,000 to find Emadi. The family will pay out the reward to anyone who can provide information, such as photos and coordinates, that lead to the whereabouts of Emadi, according to a flyer posted by Zhila Emadi on social media.

Emadi’s daughters have asked those who are inexperienced with hiking or unfamiliar with the reservoir to not attempt any searches, but if possible evidence of his presence is found, to call the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.

Emadi is 6-foot-2, about 190 pounds and has gray hair. He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, a white button-up shirt, light-colored striped shorts and blue sneakers. He had black and silver headphones in his possession on the day he went missing.

“He’s very strong-willed and we definitely believe that he would keep fighting and he’s not going to quit,” Roya Emadi said of her father.
