Dog gets treated for smoke inhalation following downtown Sacramento apartment fire
An apartment fire in downtown Sacramento Friday morning left a dog with smoke inhalation.
The dog was given oxygen and recovered quickly, according Capt. Keith Wade of the Sacramento Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to a fire in a two-story, 12-unit apartment complex on 11th Street between G and H around 10:30 a.m. Wade said that the fire was isolated to one room in a unit on the second floor.
Aside from the dog, no injuries were reported. An investigator has been called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
